Network Information
Servers have a direct fiber optic connection between the main
Cisco 7200 router and the FGC (Frontier Global Center) who is a Tier-1 provider servicing
giants as Yahoo and Netscape. That means servers are not linked to a
backbone, they are actually on a backbone and do not use a Telecom
link to get to the Internet wich guarantees a 100% uptime as long as Internet exists
in the world. The ATM fiber node can handle a bandwidth larger than T3,
and with FGC's Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM)
technology, it can handle several times the bandwidth of an OC3.
